I should have started my blog with this animation, but forgot to upload it. Just a short, simple animation I did at the end of the summer for the beginning of my Vis Com course. Was supposed to represent me, but it's more just a collection of my thoughts and the fact that London rules.

The Sandpit
Sailors Grave.
Every 3rd Monday of the month, Sailors Grave will commence in Subculture. Facebook describes it as:
"a monthly Rock 'n' Roll night ran by an all girl team, including female DJ's, shot girls, bar staff, aswell as all female burlesque performers, circus acts, and a host of other luvvlies. There will be modern burlesque featuring our wonderful in house troupe The Dagger Dames, plus guests every 3rd Monday of the month at Subculture. We welcome new performers, and girls with something a little different!"
I went to the opening night last week and didn't expect a lot as I've heard only bad things about similar nights in the past, and I don't want to waste my time on a half-hearted club night, that I always believe I could have put on a lot more successfully myself (...and one day I will.)
However Sailors grave was awesome. The burlesque was pretty good (one girl in particular who used props and really went for it was amazing) and the music was damn good. PLUS they played The Horrorpops (which made me wee myself with excitement). Sailor Jerry's £2 all night.
Basically, it's a really fun night with loads of entertainment, hot girls, an amazing atmosphere and all for only £3 entrance.
